Frequently Asked Questions
Can I learn to beatbox even if I don’t know any sound yet?
Yes of course! We strongly believe that Human beatbox is an expressive art approachable to everyone. We have courses for all levels where you learn to beatbox from scratch with simple sounds coming from common words and sentences of your speaking language.
What are the benefits of Human Beatbox?
We are convinced that Human Beatbox is an integral music art providing absolute freedom of expression: It’s a continuous game of learning music by listening and miming sounds everywhere at any time just like a Lyrebird!
Human Beatbox enhances the sharing and openness to others by transmission of emotions.
It also feels like being part of an “underground” community.
What material do I need?
You just need an Internet access to follow our FREE and PREMIUM CLASSES. Moreover, we highly recommend to have a decent microphone and a camera to communicate better with your teacher(s) for LIVE CLASSES.
How often should I practice Human Beatbox?
It really depends on your goals and what you’re trying to accomplish as a beatboxer. As you can practice this art almost everywhere, a good way to progress quickly is to practice at least 15 minutes every day during your free time.
Should I warm up before exercising?
Each workout should begin with a warm-up. A warm-up should include 5 to 10 minutes of exercise such as basic sounds repetition with or without a metronome (e.g.: Alem – Work your Beatbox Tutorials series), and freestyling with simple beats. Warming up is important to help prevent injury. It also helps to maximize benefits from exercise.
