I’d been looking for beatbox lessons for a few months and when I heard about Lyrebird’s programme, I signed up straight away.
I was a complete beginner and I needed to get my foot in the door, build up my confidence and find a way of working. The courses with Lyrebird gave me a better understanding of this world and how to move forward.
The progressive lessons given by the different teachers and the challenges offered during the programme enabled me to progress in a caring and encouraging environment.
The beginners’ programme gave me the confidence to dare to beatbox!

What can I say about Lyrebird other than thank you so much!
I would never have dared record anything beatbox if I hadn’t taken part in the beginners’ programme and now, just over three months into my apprenticeship, I find myself recording this video, which I’ll always consider my first wildcard ^^! I’ve learnt a lot in these three months (even if it’s not enough) and, above all, I’ve gained in self-confidence and I now feel more “legitimate” as a stage performer to one day include beatbox in my shows, thanks to all the people who have supported us during this training.
Lyrebird’s great strength lies in its teaching team, which is a reflection of what I imagine the beatbox community to be in general, i.e. friendly, generous, passionate. And serious.
My only regret is that I live too far away to be able to share these moments in person!
